Prairie Berry Winery

Five generations ago, Anna Pesa Vojta and her husband, Josef, immigrated from Moravia (Czechoslovakia) to Mound City, Dakota Territory.  One of the few pleasures enjoyed year-round was the wine she made from wild grapes and other “prairie berries” she found growing nearby.  Today at Prairie Berry Winery, we focus on creating award-winning wines that capture the peak flavor, color and aroma of our native South Dakota grapes, fruit and honey.
